Heath Ledger ha ottenuto una candidatura come 'attore di supporto' per il suo ruolo di Joker nell' ultimo film di Batman "Il cavaliere oscuro".

L' AFI (l' Australian Film Institute) ha premiato oggi, con un Oscar postumo, l' attore Heath Ledger per il suo ruolo di Joker nell' ultimo film di Batman  "Il Cavaliere Oscuro".

Gli ospiti presenti alla cerimonia di premiazione a Melbourne si sono alzati in piedi, alcuni in lacrime, per rendere omaggio all'attore scomparso lo scorso gennaio. Il premio è stato ritirato da Kate, la sorella di Heath, che l' ha dedicato alla figlia Mathilda.

"Prince of Persia: le Sabbie del Tempo", il film tratto dall' omonimo videogioco, diretto da Mike Newell, con protagonista Jake Gyllenhaal nel ruolo del principe Dastan dovrebbe uscire nelle sale cinematografiche a maggio del 2010. Nel cast, oltre a Jake,  Gemma Arterton (nel ruolo della principessa Tamina), Ben Kingley (Nizam), e Alfred Molina (sceicco Amar).

La sceneggiatura è stata scritta da  Scritto da Doug Miro, Carlo Bernard, Jordan Mechner e Boaz Yakin e si basa sulla trama principale del gioco creata da Jordan Mechner.
